Thoughts of Oneself

Food gets me every. time. No matter where I go, what always intrigues me is the cuisine. It's always a funky time when trying out different foods, especially where you can't get the food in your own country. Eating like a local, exploring like a local, I reckon is one of the best parts of the travelling experience.

Whats up.

The other day, I was emailed by my good IG friend Charlie (@chockywocky) to do a little Collab! She's doing a interesting project features the daily rituals of her friends around the world. A pretty cool little project. I happened to be one of those friends (haha). So interested in my rituals? The link is here.

Moving on....

Hello Hello again.

It's 11 at night and I'm feeling pretty (that's a nice way of saying it) tired but sort of at peace as I type in this silent night. I feel the days have shifted rather slowly, but at the same time quickly, no? Right now in this case, it has gone by a little too quickly that I missed a chance to post on my birthday! (and it's already half the term, yeesh)

I like to think that I'm pretty good at saving money, but in actual fact I'm not. OK, that's only half true. I'm just not the kind of person to spend my money as soon as I get my hands on it. I like saving up all my money until the end of the year (because - Christmas sales!), only to spend it all - and on really expensive things. So basically, the end result is the same anyway.
Why is it that fruit has to be seasonal? Why can't they be around all year round? (That's right, I'm still waiting for you figs).

It has been one of my dreams to go fruit picking. Like actually go to a farm and pick fruit (Don't judge). Not that I haven't been to a fruit farm. I have, but that was 5 years ago, and there was no hand-picking - the fruit was already picked for you. In case you were wondering, we went to Tasmania and I STILL remember how amazing those apricots tasted (They were the BEST I kid you not). To those who haven't been to a fruit farm, believe me when I say that you can actually taste the DIFFERENCE between store-bought/supermarket 'fresh' fruit and organic farm-fresh fruit. I think I go to foodie heaven.

Melbourne was so much fun.
